COIN at The Wiltern, Los Angeles: photos & review

Three-piece indie-pop band from Nashville, COIN, headlined the Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA to wrap up their Paradise of Thought Tour and it was everything we hoped for.

From the moment the band stepped on stage it felt as if someone had cranked the energy dial on that room from 0 to 100 in seconds. The trio, consisting of Chase Lawrence, Ryan Winnen, and Joe Memmel, and Zachary Dyke had this undeniable connection with the crowd that was hard to miss.

The band opened with “I Don’t Wanna Dance” followed by some of their newer songs, “Simple Romance” and “Growing Pains” which really got the crowd pumped. There was hardly a dull moment during the show. Even when the band slowed things down for “Heart Eyes” there was still blissful energy going.

Toward the end of their set, COIN kept the energy alive with their smash hit “Talk Too Much” which had even those who looked like they were dragged along to the show jumping, smiling and screaming all the words.

Chase Lawrence, the vocalist of the band, wrapped up the show by telling the venue that they will be back in Los Angeles before jamming out.

COIN definitely exceeded my expectations and I will be ready to catch another show when they’re back in Los Angeles. Do yourself a favor and go give them a listen here.
